Once i upload hdv video into movie maker on vista. how do i convert movie to wmvhd for internet use?

detailed instructions would be helpful. also once i convert that file if i compress it to broadband-512 will it still be hd quality or at least look up-converted? cuz i need it for internet use on my personal site,

MovieMaker won't "capture" HDV.

You either need to have your miniDV tape based camcorder down-convert to stabdard definition, or you need to get a video editor that can handle HDV... like Sony Vegas - among several others.

When you compress video, you discard data. Using an editor like Sony Vegas will allow you to import HDV and export in h.264 (effectively, to 720p)... see some of the high def stuff at vimeo.com.
