Take this scenario: An international package arrives on UPS plane at airport in the evening (around 7-8pm), would the package then be stored at the airport until morning, or would it be driven over night to the local depot, once at the local depot, would it be dispached the next morning?

  1. Upon arriving at airport, it would be brought over to the depot within a matter of minutes/hours.  At the depot, the package should be inbound scanned.  Once it is loaded onto delivery truck it will be scanned as out for delivery and should be sent over that day.  However, if the package is not due for delivery when it arrives, it may not be delivered until its due date.  That is pretty much up to the driver.

Edit: Just realized you said it is an international package.  That is slightly different, as it has to pass through Customs.  Once Customs is done inspecting it, it would be sent over to the depot.  However, there is no set time frame for Customs inspection, but generally takes about a day.
