  1. No.  I don't get in an accident or have ever had an airbag deploy in a vehicle.  Why are you not only more concerned about the airbags after an accident but not even an accident even without airbag deployment.  It's very serious if you drive a car that has an impact enough to make an airbag explode in your face to stop your body from being ejected through the windshield and protect you.  A new airbag has to be installed into the vehicle just like the bumper and other body parts that get damaged and then it's scrapped like the rest of the damaged parts.  But "they" have nothing to do with it.  You as the owner can leave it like that if you so choose.

  2. They're good for only one accident, they don't just go back in.

  3. NO, and it will be about 3 to 7 hundred to replace. I hate air bags.thats why i drive an older car.

  4. its a one time deal.  if that has happened than the insurance normal will make the car totalled because of the cost of getting done properlly.

  5. When the airbag comes out it needs to be re-stuffed.  This involves replacing them.  The car should return to the dealer (or preferred shop)  They will replace them, and usually a car needs body work to, so they will also take care of that.  This does come at a price, depending on the kind of car and how much damage.  Airbag:  Ford- Cheap   Volvo- Expensive,  the whole trip could cost any where from $300- ?, (you add the zeros.)  Plus it is illegal in most areas to operate a vehicle with the airbags out.  My advice would be to not get in the accident, or at least don't cause it, and if you do, hope your insurance is good.

  6. You have to have a new one installed.
