Once the sunflowers are dried .......

to remove my mammoth sunflowers do i -pull out from root or cut the stalk

and if i do will it grow back next year?

If you leave the root then the plant should grow back next year providing it isn't damaged by frost over the winter.

Just cut the main head off.No the old plant will not come back next year.
