Once the water is treated with Alum, is it sfe for drinking ? Doses it remove/ make the calcium less effective

As the water used for treatment has excess of Calcium but the TDS is about 550-650

  1. no , it does not remove calcim. it is only to coaggulate big particles in water treatment system. otherwise, it does not reduce the content of calcium. of course it is safe for drinking. only chlorine that is addedin water to kill bacterias  in a high content is harmful.
