Once you get your appointment for I-131 biometric how long is the wait?

I'm hoping that I will get my biometric appointment date before I leave forhongkong but I'm wondering once they mail you the date for the biometric how long ahead of time is it? For example, when they give me the appointment date is it around 2 wks after I receive my appointment date letter and will I be able to reschedule it for an earlier time?

your appointment will be indicated in the letter that the USCIS will mail you.

if you want to have your fingerprinting done earlier, you can go to your local USCIS office asap and try to reschedule.

as i've said, you can try going to your local USCIS office. if it's not busy, there's a chance that they might take you on the spot and have your biometrics done.

they give you about 1 month. You can never reschedule it to be earlier.
