I declined the speed awareness course as I was caught speeding at 38 mph in a 30 zone (there were no signs so I assumed as it was a busy A road). I couldnt get the time off work as I believe it is a 2 day course?

So I declined online and have now recieved a letter today asking for me to send in my driving licence and await a fixed penalty and fine. (previous clean licence)

However now my work say they can allow me the time off as our rota has changed!!

I have tried to log back in but wont let me accept the course again as states "previous rejected course" was that my one any ony chane? Can I phone the speed awareness helpline no to ask them or does it lie with greater manchester police????

please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. That was a bit silly.

You need to contact the speed awareness line. Try the police too- in fact  any or all of the numbers until you get a result,

Try phoning them and explain the circumstances.

    You might be lucky

  2. Very silly, it was your one & only chance.

  3. Sorry but dont know answer.

You say as you didnt see any signs you assumed it was busy A road.  ANY road with regular placement of roadside lighting is 30mph unless signed otherwise!
