I know it all depends on your level but typically what is the time line for jumping? Is it something like 3 months of cross rails and then very gradually the jumps get higher or does it typically move quickly once going over the cross rails?

  1. depends on the horse and your ability. if you are just starting jumping get very solid on x-rails because this is the foundation for higher jumping.

  2. There is no time line, it depends on how good you are, and if you have your own horse or are riding a school horse. There are so many factors that play into it, there is no timel ine, get comfy with your height, and it'll work it's way up.

  3. Not 3 months. The better you are the faster you will move. I moved up ny the next month!

  4. you can raise thge jumps as quickly as you'd like, if your horse is an experienced jumper. if he is, then raise them as you get more comfortable. never over-do it though, only advance higher if you're 100% comfortable at the current height you're jumping.
