Steven Gerrard – Liverpool

joined the youth club of Liverpool and played in the youth team for 10 years before being promoted to the senior team. In his illustrious career with Liverpool, he has played 384 English Premier League (EPL) games and scored 84 goals. Over all, for the club,
he has featured in 553 games and scored 140 goals. Most of these goals were long distant trademark stinging shots. He is known for such goal-bound strikes and in most cases, these shots have turned the result of the games.
The first game he played for the senior team was in 1988 when he played in the last minute against Blackburn Rovers. He made 12 appearances in his debut season, but failed to score any goal. His first goal came in the season of 1999-2000, which was a 4-1

Paul Scholes – Manchester United

Before joining the senior team, he had spent five years in the club’s youth team. In his first senior season, he made 17 league appearances and
scored five goals. His most prolific season was in 2002-2003, when he played 52 matches, scoring 20 goals. Over the years, he has played 460 English Premier League games and scored 102 goals. In all, he has played 664 games for Manchester United and has scored
150 goals.

Scholes has had problems with his temperament on the field. He has been booked for more than 100 times out of which, seven were red cards. He is fourth on the list of players with the most appearances for Manchester United. In his career, he has won nine
Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League cups with the Red Devils.
