One PC attached to my lynksys wireless router has noticeably slower internet access?

I have two PCs that are accessing the internet through a Lynksys WRT54G wireless router. I have a 16 meg internet connection. One PC ‘s download speed tests at roughly 14.5 meg. The problematic PC’s download speed tests at roughly 1.5 meg. Its like its super slow? Does anyone know what could cause the problem PC’s internet connection to be so slow?

that depends on how your other pc is connected... if wireless, it's very much slower. if it's wired, the length and quality of the wire is a big factor. also your network card or rj45 connection is faulty.

Sounds as though the offending pc is connecting at 802.11b speeds. It doesn't matter what router speed just what wnic card speed. What are the cards you are using?
