Question:

One Shot To End The Fight?

Does anyone know a technique that can end a fight in one shot? For example a pressure point strike other than a kick to the groin, an eye rake or a throat shot. I'm not bothered if it causes a lot of damage to the body. I'm thinking about a scenario where you get attacked on the street by someone much bigger than you. So I'm not worried about causing damage.

  1. I really can't add much to what JudoMofo has said except to add that yes I can do the "deadlier more maiming stuff", but chances are if I can do that, I can do a palm heel to the jaw, or a punch to the sloar plex or liver. in fact unless I am up against a highly trained fighter or somebody with a deadly weapon, I should be able to end the fight with minimal damage to my attacker. Thats what I have trained 18 years for.

There are very good techniques that do not leave you open to being criminaly prosecuted or look extremly ba din a civil suit. I mean do you want to hear in court "Mr. _____ you are a 4th degree black belt. so why when my client merely grabbed your arm did you feel it necessary to poke an eye out" vs being able to say " When your client grabbed my arm, and I was in fear for my safety, so I performed a hammer fist to his solar plex to take his wind but do no real damage". What is going to look better to a jury?

Yes I have the "deadly" stuff if I need it, but I can never see myself needing it when far less damaging techniques will  work just as well.

Also realize that 99.9% of the time one strike will not end it, unless it buys you time to run.

  2. Super man punch to your enemy's jaw, much like the sandman did to Houston alexander.

  3. Dim Mak, I learned this technique in Miami under one of the greats. I rarely use it.

  4. try to kick a mugger in the nuts and h**l probably kill you

I agree with the line in the super long answer....there is no one stike that will end a fight...

this is what bruce lee exposed about the ancient arts...you have to learn it all

  5. 12 guage pump...

Hydroshok rounds in pretty much any caliber.

Seriously, there is no one shot to end a fight, and you should worry about damaging someone, even a street attack isn't necessarily life or death unless a weapon is involved.

The whole no quarter kill or be killed thing only exists in war, and in scenarios most people in a civilized country will never run across. In most kill or be killed scenarios they involve weapons.

You want to be able beat someone bigger than you without relying on one technique... because no one technique is garunteed to work no matter how long you train it. If you aren't willing to train, learn to carry a weapon, or at least always be aware of potential weapons. Don't think of a punch, a kick, a pressure point strike, or any of that other c**p..

It is retarded to me to think of an eye rake or a throat punch, when if I wanted to do that type of damage I would stab someone, smash them with a rock, a brick, a piece of glass, a lamp... anything I could find.

Keep in mind the truth is, unless the level of force you do matches what you encounter, you can be held accountable by the law, and instead of being the victim, you become the perpetrator of the crime instead. A guy comes at you unnarmed, and you kill him, you d**n sure better be willing to show without a reasonable doubt to a jury of your peers that you were in desperate fear for your life.

People keep talking about "No mercy on the street" then they mention some unnarmed technique... that is retarded.

If you are truly of the paranoid mindset these people have then following these steps and be 100 times more "brutal" and efficient in "deadly street" confrontations.

Step one: Always be armed on the street, local laws permitting. Meaning always carry a knife, a kobutan, pepper spray, some nails, a roll of quarters... SOMETHING. Follow whatever laws you can to carry a gun. If you don't want to always carry something around...as you are in a questionable area find something and pick it up... Rock.. piece of glass...crack pipe..

Step two: Constantly analyze your environment for advantages, poles, debris on the ground... cars..  street signs..

Step three: If you are TRULY of the mind set that you can gouge out an eye, or cause serious damage to someone, then that might set should not limit yourself to doing things with your hands... why gouge out an eye, when you drive a knife into it? Why try to punch a throat or crush a trachea when you can just cut it, or stab someone repeatedly?

The truth is an eye gouge, or crushing a throat or doing half the stuff people say they would do is the equivalent in intent of just stabbing or shooting someone, and stabbing and shooting takes far less effort, and far less training.

If you are studying the Martial Arts to do some sort of unnarmed killing or maiming technique, then you are wasting your time. If you are truly of the mindset that you can and will kill or maim if threatened, you are far better off getting a gun, a knife, and improvising weapons. It would take far less time to learn, and is far more effecient.

Personally, the stuff I learn allows me to subdue and beat an attacker without maiming or killing him. To render him out of the fight without having to kill him, to dominate him and be able to hand him over to the police.

If a guy comes at me unnarmed in a street confrontation, I am not going to try to cripple him with no quarter. I am going to render him unconscious with the least effort possible, or put him out of the fight where I can escape, not by raking out his eyes, punching him in the throat, then curb stomping him.

For life or death situations.. then I use what works best.. firearms and weapons.

Just my opinion, there is no magic technique, no ultimate one shot win that you can just be taught and be unstoppable. To get better at fighting requires long hours of blood and sweat.

To get to where you can protect yourself, all you need is a good weapon and the willingness and training in how to use it.

    Just my opinion

  6. Yes but its not easy.

You can stop a mans heart if you punch them at the right time in the heart.  Very hard to do and the timing has to be perfect with the right amount of pressure.

Dim Mak is a legend and hard to say if it is true or not.

Others can be taken out in one shot if you make it so they cannot breathe, walk or see.

  7. well, i'm not all that sure but if you will remember that movie the Karate Kid- Daniel Son gets in that bird like stance towards the end of the movie while fighting in tournament and knocks dude flat on his back.!!!!

  8. Din Mak;  ive heard the legend of the death strike but never learned it myself, as no westerner is ever allowed to learn it.  your only chance is to move to to china and blend in with the locals and try to get a master to teach you.

  9. Run away.

Forget about pressure points -- those who REALLY know won't tell!

If you break a knee or a shin with a side kick you can get away...

provided that you can run faster than your opponent can hop on one leg.

The last item in any method is "RUN AWAY."

If you can run faster than the other guy, don't waste your time with the preliminary steps.

  10. spit in his face  then break his knee and if he's still standing well.... run!
