Question:

One-Time US Visa for People Under 25-28?

Dear all,

I was told today by a friend that the US operates a programme of simplified visa issue to qualified foreign nationals under the age of either 25 or 28.

The trick is that such a visa can only be issued once, and only up until a certain age. From what I understand, it either allows foreign nationals to temporarily work in the United States or requires backing by a US employer.

My question is two-fold:

1) Do you know if a programme like that actually exists - and if it does, where can I find more information about it?

2) If it does exist, is the cut-off age 25 or 28?

Thanks in advance,

George

  1. I don't know where this story came from, but there's nothing to it. There is no such program. You can take a look at travel.state.gov and take a look through the information on visas. You won't find any references to anything on this. In the visa section, under nonimmigrant visas, there's a prompt with the different visa classes, again, nothing. Sorry.
