One Touch 4 Maxstor 750 external hard drive... I need help with installing an external hard

I need help with installing an external hard drivce on to my new mac book pro - the external hard drive is a maxstore onetouch4 750 - it installs okay on a windows xp computer but my macbook pro doesnt recognise it. Please help
