My one and a half year old has absolutly no interest in watching tv. She completely ignores it even when she is being babysat. I think it's kind of cool that when I pick her up from her babysitter she is never watching tv with the other kids she's usually just playing. I'm not worried about the fact that she won't I'm just wondering if anyone else here has experienced this?

  1. My 18 month old daughter loves it. I try to limit her TV watching, but I do let her watch sesame street and yo gabba gabba from time to time. Sometimes it looks like she's in some sort of trance when she sits in front of the television.

Consider that a good thing that your child isn't interested.

  2. Be happy. She's not going to be overweight.

  3. Your baby will do better in school, if you are reading

her stories, coloring pages, and playing with her on the

floor. Kiss her and tell her, you love her, every night.

  4. Shes 1 and a half i dont think very many kids taht age can focus on T.V. at all. She probably cant understand whats going on in that glowing box.

  5. No, most 18 months old aren't interested in tv.  They want to play.  Her babysitter shouldn't put her in front of the tv all the time.  She needs to learn from playing and discovering her surroundings.

  6. That's good!! My daughter only likes Yo Gabba Gabba! everything else she ignores. It's fine.

  7. Someone's bragging...

  8. My son was the same at that age. Now he's 2 1/2 and will occasionally sit and watch for a short time. But his sister would watch as long as I left the TV on!
