One basic wordpress question?

i'm new in wordpress .. i'm using 2.6.1...one basic question.. my some articles are like 100 lines long.. i want only 20 to 25 lines to be displayed on that page .. how can i do it ... some one please help.. thanks

Just use tthe More Tag where you want the cut:

<!--more-->

This will split it and create a clickable link for the rest off the article
