One day in Nepal, Advice?

I will be flying into Kathmandu in August for one day. I want to stay in the Thamel section of the city. Any advice on what guest house to stay in and where I can find some good pizza in the city? I want a simple room with a bed, fan, cable television, and a shower and toilet.

I believe that Badri has given very good answer to your query. However, for pizza you might like to visit "Fire & Ice" which also is in Thamel and they have very good pizzas there. Enjoy!

My suggestion is 'Kathmandu Guest House' which is located at the heart of Thamel and one of the best guest house.
