One day period while pregnant?

my periods r not normal. they r heavy and last 3 or four days. but this month i had a one day period. let me explain more so you can tell me if you had this or not. I started spotting on day 25 then on day 26 i had red blood for one day. it was light. only used one tampon the whole day. then the next day just a drop. i didnt think it was impantation because i hear this is mostly dark old blood and mine was red. I want to start clomid this month but now i am scared cus this is not my normal period. should this count as a period? i should start on the third day but it really wasnt a period. I will go today to get a home test just to make sure before i start my clomid. but has this happened to anyone. i was up last night looking on line and i saw many claim to bleed for one day and still be pregnant. it woud be great........ but i am woried about taking it when i only had a period for one day. what you think?
