  1. Go on a gondola ride. No matter how expensive it is, it's worth it, you won't regret it. Have fun!

  2. The people there is great!

For a day visit the Piazza San Marco, ponte di Rialto, take a ride along the Grand Channel, walk and walk inside the city, don't forget to buy some Murano's glass and a mask.

Ah! and take lots of pictures...enjoy!

  3. I would NOT go on a gondola ride...the ferries give you a great view (ok they can be noisy BUT they are cheap, take you further and you see just as much)...if you really want to go on a gondola they have little ones that take people across the canals (mainly for locals) and you have to stand in them...

Rialto Bridge and walking along the main streets as well as St Marco's Square (with St Marks cathedral and the Doge palace being things to go in..but queues can be long) are pretty cool. THere are of course numerous churches to lookinto...get some gelato and pizza mmmm.

English is pretty good there, and apart from saying hello, goodbye and thankyou I didn't use anything else.

There are lots of markets, espceically around the Rialto bridge where you can buy cheap stuff...if you want to make sure you get "official" murano glass you have to pay for it...otherwise buy it from the stalls.

  4. ponte di rialto

    piazza san marco

    piccioni (pidgeons.....a lot of those)

    gondole (take a ride)

...and if you have to go to the bathroom or if you are thirsty, dont go in one of those cute lil bars or restaurants downtown, if you have to go to the bathroom go to micky dees, cuz its free, otherwise they'll charge you for whatever you do!

  5. California or Italy?
