Question:

One earphone stopped working? (bose in ear earphones)?

I have the Bose In-ear earphones, and only the right one plays. Actually, if I twist the earphone around inside the ipod, I can find some spots where it plays through both. Although, if I move the earphones slightly, it only plays through the right one. It's really weird and I know it's the earphone's fault because it does the same thing on my dad's ipod too. I really like these earphones and I just do not know what to do :[

  1. This is what happens if the wires bend too much. I really don't know if you can fix it but call Bose and see if they can replace them. You probably paid a small fortune for them.

  2. uhhh get new ones or call bose

  3. Mine did the same thing, and I just had to get new ones, could never seem to fix it right...

  4. that happened to my  earphones

what happens is inside the cord where you have your ear phones connecting to your ipod, there is a thin wire that can easily brake. it happens if u for example, rap your ear phones around your ipod. if your rap the chords to tight, the wire can break. it can even brake when you move the cord too much. such as spinning it, shaking it and such.

the wire that breaks connects to one side or both sides of your earphones, which produces the sound. if you can hear only on one side, the cord is damaged and cant be fixed.

i would go and buy new ear phones

i perfer skullcandy in-ear earphones because the wire is secrurly wrapped, and doesnt brake easily such as other producers. the skullcandy ear phones are in my mind are much better then other earphones. you actually feel like your in the room or at a live show.

  5. If you still have the warranty, take it to a bose shop or call the bose people up. I'm sure they're bound to help.

  6. Replace the jack.  Get someone who knows a little bit about electronics to do it for you.

  7. No pun intended, but it sounds like there is a short near the jack of the earphones.  What you could do is wiggle every part of the earphone until you find where the short is at and then you could strip the wire in that area and reconnect the shorted ends and with luck, that will work again.  Of course they will not look as nice, so the other option is to look in local electronic stores or online for the same pair of headphones and maybe you will find them.  Good luck with this!

  8. Yeah, that's how all of my earphones break... it's like a wire is disconnected or something, because if you hold it in the right way it works.

I don't think there's anything you can really do, sorry.
