  1. My goodness ...there is a job for a maths coach here ...

    2 doz    =      24                 24  x    5.5 cents     =      132  cents

                                                                                =  $1 .32

Is this a trick question ?

  2. $1.32

  3. 13.20

  4. .055 x 24 =  you can multiply can't you

  5. $13.20

  6. This problem is VERY simple. You know that one egg costs 5.5 cents. You know (or should know) how many eggs are in one dozen, thus how many are in TWO dozen. Multiply the number of eggs in two dozen by 5.5. Move the decimal two places to the left, and there's your answer.

Notice how I didn't give you any numbers because I want you to figure it out for yourself. If you're old enough to be on Yahoo! Answers, you're old enough to figure out such an easy problem. If you need some help, that's fine... I've given you the basics. Now it's your job to apply those principles to the actually homework problem, which I'm sure is what your teacher wants you to do in the first place. You'll never get ahead in school, or even in life, if you can't do basic math.
