  1. One last answer for the night!  You Dad obviously puts your Moms needs in front of his own and this isn't always good in the case of not checking his oil and water level - he could ruin the engine that way.  Maybe you could ask him how to do it and you be the one who checks the levels for him.  You don't have to tell him you are doing this.  O.K. Good night!

  2. Cuz he is more worried about your mother and her car.  If her car isn't well maintained, it can break down all of a sudden in the worse possible place and she is left alone and he isnt there to protect her.  He isnt worryin about himself, just her and you.  Thats a real father and a real husband and I respect him for that.

  3. ask your dad...it's probably a simple answer like he can tell just by the sound or the handling of the car that he knows when it is getting low on oil or water...he doesn't drive her car so he has to check it more often...

  4. Maybe he does and you just don't know it.

  5. I would venture to say he wants your mom to be safe in the case of an emergency on the road or something. At least he cares enough to check it for her.

  6. Perhaps he's looking out for her more then he does for himself.

    Good night, Chet.

  7. Leave it to your mom and dad what to check and when to check.

  8. cuz he only cares about himself.....

  9. She probably gets on him about checking and changing the fluids in the cars. Dont rat him out to your mom.

  10. Hi, Your dad works hard and with the love he has for her, knowing full well that she doesn't think of checking things out when it comes to the car.  He wants to make sure she get where she's going and back home safe.  Your dad doesn't think of his truck because he's a handy man and can take care of his truck.  If something "goes hay wirer"with his truck NO problem he'll get it started and know full well Mom will be all right because he took the time to check her car. If You are in your teens maybe You should ask Dad to show You how to check these things out and you could check your Dads truck to make sure his oil and water is in there?

  11. Could be real simple like it has issues that need watched.  Just ask.

  12. He probably is more concerned about your Mother's welfare and that her car is running well than his.  You might say something like, "Dad, have you checked the oil and water in your truck lately?"

  13. Your dad doesn't check the fluid levels in his old truck because he is trying to blow up the engine. Then dad gets a new truck. There's a method to his madness. Good night Jr.
