One mentos+diet coke?

is one mentos and a bottle of diet coke be enough to make a good explosion?

Yup.  They tested that one on "Mythbusters" and one Mentos in a 2-liter bottle of Diet Coke shot a fountain of Diet Coke up about 3 feet.

no(only if u shake the pop up)something else u could try is dry ice and water

i wouldn't call it a explosion more like a small chemical reaction. if you want an explosion try water in a water bottle add dry ice and close the bottle back up and boom.

also the warmer the diet coke the better the reaction..ice cold does not do much

It's best if you put the mentos in your mouth and shake it up with the soda.
