We just got a kitten two days ago. She is exactly one month old today. She eats kitten chow and drinks water. Is she just nervous? She wont go to the bathroom. I put her in the litter box yesterday, and she peed like two little drops. Please help. Is there something wrong with her? AND dont say shes gonna die bc we got two of our other cats at 1 month and they are still alive. One is 6 and one is 4.

  1. she hasnt been properly weaned, this is usually done between 6 and 8 weeks,so she is probably still in need of her mother to stimulate her bowel movement, you may have to do it(i dont mean use your tongue lol), ... stimulate it by taking a warm damp cloth or baby wipe and gently rubbing the anal area.  This will cause the baby to defecate and urinate

  2. If she is rebelling the litter box, put duck tape on the spots that it is going. Also try to keep putting her in the litter box, and put some of it's bile in there too so that it will get the scent. It may just be constipated. Give it a day or two and if it is still not going then take it to the vet.

  3. you may have to stimulate her to go to the bathroom

  4. Until you can get her to a vet you need to stimulate her to go potty. just wet a rag with warm water and stroke her little tummy just below her tail.  Mama cats do this with their babies to make them go.  Maybe just needs to be on formula a little longer. Also try crating her with the litter box in the crate. Some cats seem to require more privacy than others.

  5. She may just be stressed out.

  6. One month old is too young for this cat to be away from it's mother.  They are not usually weaned until they are 6 weeks old and then should stay with the mother for an additional week.  The mother cat usually has to stimulate kitten to go to the bathroom until they are old enough to go on their own.  This kitten may not be able to go on her own yet as she should still be with her mother.  You need to take a warm wet washcloth and rub her rear area to stimulate her to go.

  7. My cat had that, and he had crystals. Bring her to the vet ASAP! Because we brought my cat in early, they were able to cure him. My friend's cat had the same problem, and he was put down.
