A diver is standing on the diving board. The diver has a mass of 85.0 kg and has a gravitational potential energy of 2.50 x 10 to the power of 3 J standing on the diving board. Determine how high the diver is above the water surface. (assume the water is at ground level.) Show work please and thanks!

  1. E = 2500 J = 85*9.8*h

    E = m*G*h

    h = 2500/65*9.8 = 3.92 m
