V = pi * r^2h

So the volume that is caused by the introduction of the cube equals:

V = pi * 3^2 * 1

V = 9*pi cm^3

d = m/v

d = 73.6g/9pi cm^3

d = 2.6031 g/cm^3

V of cube = s^3

s^3 = 9pi cm^3

s = 3.05cm
