They have asked for additional documentation. Is this the final conditions? If so, how much longer to closing?

  1. Your realtor should be able to just tell you the closing date.  Sounds like they are still securing your mortgage.

  2. get your mortgage broker to get a conditional acceptance, conditional

to this new request for data.  That is one way to get to the

end quicker; lenders can suck a borrower dry of info.

  3. It's not over until you are signing the papers.  They can and will keep asking for documentation until they feel satisfied that you qualify.  Once when we sold a house the process for the buyer drug out over 2 months. They kept asking her for this and that and then we finally backed out of the deal and moved on to another buyer.

  4. if they need more documentation then you are not even approved yet. closing depends on when you will have the check and when the seller  agrees to a closing date

  5. Maybe, maybe not...I have been asked for additional documentation up to three times.  It all depends on who is asking and whether the additional documentation will satisfy them.  If it is the underwriters asking, it means you are getting close to a decision.  If it is the loan processor, you may still have a ways to go.
