if a fentanyl overdose victim is found apneic without a pulse what will the ekg show then if he/she begins to lose that pulse?

  1. Most likely PEA, or perhaps asystole.  Hypoxic arrests tend to degrade directly into PEA/asystole, avoiding the vtach/vfib route because the myocardium essentially 'runs' out of oxygen and can no longer function on waste products.
