One more time! Honest opinions on this dress?

Question

Ok, I couldn't get the link to work earlier, so hopefully it does this time!

I'm a plus size girl and I'm kinda apple shaped -- carry a lot of my weight in the middle and no butt or hips! I've also got more than generous portions in the bust (so wearing a bra is important). So let me know what you think of this dress, and any other suggestions are appreciated!

I like the top part. The way those straps/neckline is would be perfect. However, I'm not a fan of the pick-up dress.

But, if you like it and think it looks good on you, then go for it.

Very pretty, but have you tried looking at an A-line? I'm a plus sized bride myself and I have an A-line strapless dress and it looks fab on me.  The bra is strapless and makes my large bust shine in this dress.

The bodice is just lovely, but the pickup skirt is a big no-no.

You need to go with something a-line to show a lovelier silhouette.

It's a very pretty dress. However, if you are apple shaped and carry your weight in your middle (like I do), you might try something with an empire waist rather than something fitted at the waist. If you've tried it on and it makes you look and feel the way you want to, then go for it. You'll know if it's "the dress".

Gorgeous dress... just stunning.  Just have someone be honest with you about your upper arms, if they are too big (like mine, I am a small girl with big 'ol arms & could NEVER where a sleeveless dress!) - than you should rethink.

itll even you out if youre appleshaped like you say.  itll give you a waistline and clearly you can wear a supportive bra.  very appropriate choice, not to mention its a pretty dress.  youll look beautiful!!!!!!!

I am also not a fan of pick-up skirts.  To me they look like wadded up toilet paper.  I think a smooth a-line or ball gown skirt would be more flattering (to any & all body types) than a pick-up skirt.

It's a very pretty dress and by your bodytype it should fit well...

looks like it might be a pretty dress for a heavy girl, just make sure your gut isnt sucked into it and pooching out, that would be a eyesore and everyone would focus on it.

I think that the neckline and the waist are okay - but I am not a huge fan of the pick-up skirts. I think sometimes they can make you look a little bigger - but it all depends on the person wearing it.

I personally like a dress like this with the draped waist.

But if you tried the other one on and like the way that it looks and feels then go for it. The most important thing is that you feel absolutely beautiful that day. You have to love the dress.

choosing a dress that fits you and feels comfortable should be your priority

wear clothes that compliment certain features of your body

dark colors are good choices but be colorful, they can help hide or bring out more attention to certain parts of your body

when selecting a wedding gown try selecting a ball gown or full skirt dress, other suggestions would be an a-line or princess style.
