‘One more win can enter Eli Manning into the Hall of Fame,’ says Plaxico Burress
New York Jets’ wide receiver, Plaxico Burress, has said that New York Giants’ quarterback, Eli Manning, is just one win away from entering the National Football League (NFL) Hall of Fame.
Burress, who is Manning’s former teammates, shared his views during a radio interview on Friday, January 3, 2012.
Burress said of Manning that:
"His play has really just elevated to a level to where he's throwing the ball with tremendous confidence, putting it in tight places and the guys are out there making plays for him.”
He added that:
"He commands the offense, puts them in great position to get up and down the football field. He goes out and wins this game (Sunday), he's going to silence a lot of people."
Burress was a part of Giants’ squad that won the Super Bowl XLII.
Not only was he part of the team, but he played a huge role in Giants’ victory over Patriots.
New England had gained a four-point advantage over Giants with less than three minutes left on the clock.
At 00:35, Burress caught a 13-yard pass from Manning and gave Giants the victory.
It was Manning’s first Super Bowl ring.
Now after four years, he has once again guided the Giants to another Super Bowl. Coincidentally, the opponents are the same again.
Manning is in tremendous form, maybe best of his career, which has made Giants’ chances to win another Super Bowl very bright.
In 16 games of the regular season, Manning managed a career-high 4,933 yards after completing 359 passes of 589 attempts. He also sent 29 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
In the playoffs, Giants played three games in which Manning managed 923 yards after completing 76 passes of 123 attempts. He threw eight touchdown passes and only one interception.
Giants and Patriots are going to play in the Super Bowl XLVI game on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis.

Burress has predicted that Giants will beat the Pats.
He commented:
"I think the Giants win. I'm not going for the Patriots, that's for sure. The Patriots broke my heart too many times when I was in Pittsburgh, all of those AFC championships.”
Earlier, Giants running back, Brandon Jacobs, also said that Burress might reunite with Giants in the next season.
One should not be surprised to see Burress praising Manning and Giants as it could be his next destination.
