Question:

One mouse mean more?

We have lived in our current house for about 3 months now and have never seen a mouse until this morning. I woke up and saw the yucky thing run across the room and under my chair.... I left it alone. My husband is out of town and I was not going to go on a mouse hunt. We are very clean people and if there is a mouse I would rather not know about it. Now I am watching everywhere I go and just kind of freaked out lol. My question is does one mouse mean there are more? Please give serious answers.

  1. ONe can have 6-10 babies in its belly.

  2. What he ^ said, and get a cat.

  3. It usually means if you see one, there are more you do not see.

  4. i would say yes ..they are normally in pairs ..at the least !  they can get into a house through an open door ..they do need a lot of room ..they can get through a gap not much wider than a pencil ..set traps ..not one ..at least six ..forget about peanut butter ..use cheese ....check inside kitchen units ..there is normally plenty of gaps for them to get in ...look for their droppings ..even inside drawers ..hit them quick and hard ..check around house there are no holes or gaps on the exterior walls ...if so fill

  5. Does one mouse mean there are more?  Maybe, maybe not.

You should probably assume there are more, and buy traps/poison accordingly.

PS  Don't feel bad about having a mouse in a clean house--mice like both clean and dirty houses.  Any house, really.
