One of My Hard drives has suffered complete motor failure, (it wont spin). I have tried the obvious like replacing the controller,and gradually raising, lowering the temp to see if it will free up, no joy. Any help on where I might find some guidelines on transplanting the platters from the drive into an identical one to recover the data, would be greatly appreciated. I am confident I can do this, but would like to read up on it a bit more first.
