One of Pakistan's modern greats, Umar Gul
Umar Gul is a key member of the Pakistani cricket team in all the three formats of the game. He is a right arm fast-medium bowler, and is considered to be one of the most lethal bowlers in the death overs, and is very hard to score off with his accurate
yorkers. He looks up to legendary Pakistani pacer and current team coach Waqar Younis and wants to follow in his footsteps. Younis has a lot of faith in Umar Gul and rates him very highly.
Umar Gul was born on 14th April, 1984 in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peshawar-c832. He started playing cricket at a very early age in the streets. He idolised Waqar Younis, and used to play as a fast bowler when he started to play with the tape ball. He was encouraged by his peers to take

In ODIs Umar Gul has picked up 115 wickets. He is one of the most economical bowlers and is really famous for his ability to bowl well at the end of the innings. Recently he managed to pick up six wickets against England at the oval to lead his side to victory.

Umar Gul is the most successful bowler in the Twenty20 format, having picked up 47 wickets in just 30 games. The 2009 World Cup was a real turning point for Gul, who demonstrated his dominance in the shortest format of the game. He managed to pick up the
highest number of wickets in the first Twenty20 World Cup, and repeated his brilliant performance in the 2009 edition. His bowling was a key factor in Pakistan’s successful campaign in the World Cup in England. He also achieved the best bowling figures in
