I have showered twice with shower gel and have drowned it in deodarant but it still smells.

Some details about it are that a scab just recently dropped off that was from an abcess 4/5/6 years ago and did excessive running the day before so I was really sweaty buit I showered after it.

What could it be and how can I treat it?

  1. First of all do not apply deodorant to broken or rashy skin, make sure the abcess is fully healed, if not see a doctor, once the skin is fully healed consider changing from an anti-perspirant to a deodorant, anti-perspirants are the ones that make your armpit "Not even sweat" and which can cause cancer (according to some) and which may have been the cause of your abcess.

  2. have you tried granny perfume?

thats like the strongest stuff ever!

i mean it will still smell bad but..its better right?

  3. Girls think smelly underarm's are s**y.

  4. if one smells and the other doesnt it sound s like you may have something wrong with your sweat glands in your armpit. you should go to the doctor probably.

  5. its called speed stick.

    its not expensive

  6.   Antiperspirants and Breast Cancer Risk

    The Claim

A persistent Internet email rumor has suggested that underarm antiperspirants cause breast cancer. It also claims that

Underarm shaving allows cancer-causing substances in antiperspirants to be absorbed through razor nicks. These substances prevent underarm lymph nodes from removing cancer-causing toxins from the b*****s.

Most breast cancers develop in the upper outer quadrant of the breast because that area is closest to the lymph nodes exposed to antiperspirants.

Men have a lower risk of developing breast cancer because they do not shave their underarms, and their underarm hair prevents chemicals in antiperspirants from being absorbed.

    These claims are largely untrue.

    The Response

Do antiperspirants increase a person's risk of developing breast cancer?

There is no good scientific evidence to support this claim. The American Cancer Society is not aware of any strong epidemiologic studies reporting a statistical link between breast cancer risk and antiperspirant use.

In fact, a carefully-designed epidemiologic study of this issue published in 2002 compared 813 women with breast cancer and 793 women without the disease. The researchers found no relationship between breast cancer risk and antiperspirant use, deodorant use, or underarm shaving.

I had to get that out of the way first , I think you may still have some infection going on just go back to your Doctor you may need an antibiotic.

  7. if the problem persists you should go see a Dr but if youre skin is not chapped or irritated this might help..

For the next two weeks don't wear any deodarant on that arm pit instead

wash it only in cold water using plane ivory soap .. dry it thoroughly afterwards and then wet tea bags and apply them to the arm pit hold them under there until the tea actually sits on youre skin for a while. the tanic acid in the tea destrys some of the strongest foot odor and i think it might work on youre arm pit as well.. use the tea bags a couple of times a day ..

Go shirtless as often as you can and open the arm pit up so more ventilation can get to it when you are alone lol..

if the problem persists then it is most likely internal and you should see a DR but this might help i hope so

  8. Have your sweat glands removed

  9. Spray it with aftershave & it will eventually go away.

  10. bleach your pits

  11. the smell could be from the food you eat. and how much you been exercising. you should use deodrant.
