One of my children has changed the password on my laptop but they cant rem wot they done!i cant get in to it??

Contact the manufacturer (or a related forum online) and ask them if there is any way around it ... a master reset or something.  Can't be more helpful without the make and model.

ok first of all calm down. what is your os

if it is windows anything do this

go to friend with internet and cd burner

download cd image from here:

use the password tools until you can get in

on the login screen press ctrl alt delete twice it should bring you to administrator login this should be the login in if they havent changed it

name administrator

password admin

if you can get into administrator the go to run type in CMD and hit run it should pop up a black window type this in net user then press enter is should show you a list of the users on that computer find the one you need to remove the password from then type in net user (the name of the account here) *

this is and exsample    net user administrator * and just put whatever accout name you want insted of administrator

after you type in what i told you it should ask you for a new password just press enter then press enter agien hope this healp

what operating system is it?

if its windows xp, you can boot into safe mode and click on the username and login without the password.

if its vista then you can do the above...

You should set your children up as users, then they won't need your password. They would have had to know your password to change it. So when you finally get back into your laptop, go to start, control panel, users - the create new users for your children and set a new password for yourself.

There is a file where passwords are kept, can't remember where it is held. As the administrator you can delete passwords from that file.

However, I just don't believe that anybody's parents would write like you do, using text abbreviations, so I think you are just a kid who is trying to get into his parents laptop. Right?

Hi .... turn off  your laptop and Separate Battery from it ..be sure the charger is off .. wait 20  minute then turn on laptop ...the password will be disappeared.
