My friend then asked him if flatulence (farting) was allowed during prayer. My friend and I thought the ban on farting during prayer was just some silly misconception that had was being talked about in our class because of the hostility there is towards Islam (both of the guys are in my class). But, as it turned out, flatulence during prayer isn't allowed in Islam according to my friend's friend. He said it was a demon trying to get to you. Is this true?

  1. the thing is , inorder to be able to concentrate in prayor and (purify) yourself you have to do wodu' , it's something done with water before praying , the purpose of it is logical not physical . it's for you to feel "cleen " and pure , if you know what i mean .

that wodu' is "undone" by farting , bleeding , and "going to the bathroom"

if one of these things happened during you prayer then you have to stop praying and do wodu' again and re-pray

it's not deamons related or anything , it's just something more psychological , for the person to feel pure and concintrated in the prayer

just imagine that you are speaking to God and farted , wouldn't that be halarious? but prayer have to be serious and come from your heart without distractions , so if that happened , yes you have to do the prayer again

  2. When you f**t..you're simply getting rid of air that in your ***, something is coming "out" how could a demon try to get into you?

I heard a demon trys getting into you when you yawn not f**t.

  3. It's not allowed during salat. I don't think you f**t when seing your king. If you f**t during salat, you have to take wudu' and started the salat over again.

I'm not sure about the demon.

  4. Flatulence is simply the release of gases which are created during the digestive process...it seems to me as if God (who created us and our digestive system) wouldn't be bothered by a f**t (what? is God a 5th. grader? "ooooh...you faaarted, you faaarted!"). And, if he was...then it seems that he would intervene and stop us from farting while we were praying if that was such a big deal to him. I am never surprised anymore by what Muslims believe though. Demons hiding in trash cans and toilets, saying spells to find things, God hates farts (a f**t is a demon trying to get in? seems like he'd be trying to get out!), posession by Jinns and demons, demons posessing computers, burning g**s, stoning adulterers, killing murtards, women without hijab deserve to be raped, 72 virgins in Heaven, martyrs (terrorists) bodies don't decompose, 9/11 was committed by Jews (or if the Jews didn't do it then Bush must have cause it could never have been those Muslim terrorists who hijacked the planes!), God is going to change the Jews into pigs and apes and Jesus is going to return and kill the Christians, Palestinians are descended from Phillistines (who were actually Greek by the way), the Bible is corrupted (even though none of them have any idea what it says), singing and dancing are sins, most of the people in h**l will be women, women are weak so it takes two womens votes to equal one mans vote, Muhommad was a prophet of God and SO MUCH MORE (Sharia law is a real joke-study that!)...I give up. Tell your friend to get as far away from any real Muslim man as possible because they (secretly) consider non-Muslim (kaffir) women to be whores.

  5. what???

  6. Yes, it is true that farting during prayer isnt allowed but i dont think what your friends friend said is true.

But yet I could be wrong.

  7. It's not proibited or anything during the prayer.

Before the prayer, we must perform our ablution. This ablution is cancelled in case one has to go to the bathroom, or in case of flatulence, and a few other cases. No balderdash about demons!

We can't pray our prayers without ablution. So, if the ablution is cancelled, we do it again, which doesn't take more than 3 min. Then, we return once more to pray.

  8. "its just a love story" explained it well

its nothing to do with demons though.. lol

its just disgusting and disprectful to f**t in front of Gods precence..

you are to be pure of soul, heart, body and mind when praying and talking to God...

So if nature calls and you toot.. then you just excuse yourself from the prayer group. go do another ritual wash and return then continue your prayers.. nothing more is needed to be said....

  9. Yes, it's impure and one must stop prayer to re-do their ablution.

  10. yea it is.....but god might forgive u if u like really couldn't control it.

  11. It is not allowed and if you have to and cannot control then you have to do wadu again and if you did it again you have to keep repeating it or take a pill to deflate yourself of the gasses which pollute the atmosphere.

  12. the whole point is that breaking wind will break ones state of purity which is necessary for prayer.

  13. lmfaoooooooooooooo... i really didnt think this was gonna be the question.. sorry.. but yeah you got some good answers..and to answer your question.. yes its not permissable

  14. Your friend is disgusting.

Do you talk only these things ?

  15. redhead goddes!!

    yes it is not allowed!!

  16. Um no....flatulence simply breaks our wudhu (ablution) which is a ritual physical and spiritual purification using water. Before Muslims pray or read the Quran they make sure they perform wudhu or have showered. It is about being clean before standing before God or reading His words. Things that break wudhu are things like defecation, passing gas or urination, emission of s***n, sleep (because you can pass gas and not know it), passing blood (menstruation), vomiting, and loss of senses.

So it's not a "ban." It's just the rule/guidline for being clean.

The demon thing....no. We all pass gas and have no control of where or when...at least most of the time! lol

    Peace!
