has really bad trouble at spelling but her d's and b's are nearly always the right way round what has she got?

or is it just she can't spell very well

  1. Dyslexia is when you confuse letters, so she doesn't have that. Some people just have trouble at spelling. My sister is one of those people. She just has to study harder.


  2. She can be tested to see if she has Dyslexia, but it could be that she just hasn't cottoned on to a lot of the rules which make spelling easier.

    Having a photographic memory is helpful  because you can look up and picture the word "written" just above your eyes.

    Most people have difficulty with some words - when I was little I could never remember how to spell the colour blue - it always came out as blew!

    Some words are confusing - stationary (meaning still), stationery (meaning writing paper, etc).  Learn the trick and it becomes easy - stationery has an 'e' for envelopes!

    You can help your friend find little tricks like this for words with which she has a problem.
