All the others spin absolutly fine. Ive been skateboarding for over 2 years and never had this happen to me. It doesnt affect me while riding, or i cant notice it anyways, but if i pick it up off the ground and spin it it spins for about a half of a second. What happened? Will i have to get new trucks or wheels?

  1. Check to see if the axle nut is too tight. (loosen it)  If the opposite one is very loose, then you might have axle slip. (new trucks)

Your bearings may just need to be cleaned and lubed.

The axle might be bent (new trucks)

  2. soak them for 30 mins barrings lube or get new bearings..

  3. remove the shields (if they are removable) and soak the shields in warm soapy water for 1/2 hr

soak the bearings in a citric based cleaner or paint thinner such as acetone or mineral spirits for 5 hours, stirring the stuff every 30 mins. after the 5 hours take them out and gently scrub them with a clean cloth. dry them with a can of compressed air or hair dryer. spin the bearings by hand for 2mins place 2 or 3 drops of lube in each. put the shields back on, if the bearing has only 1 shield on each then the shield goes on the side opposite to the ball cage inside the bearing. now spin it again by hand for 30secs or so. put the bearrings back into the wheel and skate for 1hr straight. i garentee this will help alot

do not soak them in lube to clean them, this will only flush any dirt in the bearings even farther in. make sure they are cleaned before applying lube and never use cleaning solvents like wd40 or resolve they will make the bearrings much much worse

if u dont clean ur bearings often enough or lube enough then the bearings become permantly damaged so make sure you do this whenever u see there getting dirty or when they spin loudly. avoid water or even just moisture from near by sources (spinklers, hose, dew)

if the wheel does not spin very well after all this then either the bearings broke or they were too damaged, either way u would have to buy new ones. but there is no need for new trucks or wheels, buying either of these will not help solve the problem at all.

when u put the wheels back on tighten the axle nut completly, then untighten it buy 1/2-3/4 of a turn

  4. no you just have to loosen the wheel and it will spin perfectly fine

  5. buy barrings lube and soak them for 30 mins

  6. New wheels or if you know how you can replace the bearing on the old ones...better off just getting all new wheels.  But first try to oil the one that is bad.

  7. just get new bearings

  8. get new bearings, dude.

It might have gotten wet? Did you ride in the rain, or threw a puddle?

You might have without noticing. Water on skateboards=bad.
