  1. your lucky because its the first day of the week. :)

  2. That was part of the Mosaic law and that law was fulfilled by Jesus Christ so we are no longer under it an obligated to obey it. We must remember that there are many principles of the law that we can benefit from today but again we are not obligated to obey it as a law.

  3. Do your homework.

  4. The 10 commandments are simply part of the 613 Commandments found in scripture that make up the Mosaic Law.  SATURDAY is the 7th day, and this day of rest was given to the JEWISH PEOPLE, not to gentiles, to observe.  Christians are not obligated by the Mosaic law.  Today is Sunday, the 1st day of the week...do your homework.

  5. Do nothing.  It's the 7th day.  :)

Actually, The Ten Commandments are part of the covenant between Ancient Israel and God.   While most of the principles of the Ten Commandments apply to everyone, there's a part of the commandments that is the "law" of Ancient Israel and Ancient Israel alone.

The need for a day of rest, and to dedicate that day for God, are important for our own physical and spiritual health.   For me, I simply need a break from the day-job, a time to enjoy friends, and a time to refocus on my real goal in life.  My real goal:   What does JC want me to do?  Because frankly, any other goal is a bad long-term investment.

So the principle still applies, but the actual day to dedicate to God, I think, is really a legalsm tied to the ancient Israelites.

  6. You are correct that Sunday should be a day of rest in which you do no work.  If you are in the United States, tomorrow is a holiday.  Do your homework tomorrow.

If you have to go to school tomorrow, do your work today.  Ask God to forgive you for not using your time more wisely and remember to do your homework on Saturday.

  7. The 7th day is actually Saturday, the first day Sunday.  do your homework, the whole thing about keeping holy the Sabbath day is mostly about doing physical labor NOT about during homework.

  8. You learned this in church, right?  Then call your pastor.  I'm sure he's home.

There are some Sunday sabbatarians, and I know some.  It's your church, follow your church or find another one.

  9. "I work, and My Father Works."  Get to work.

  10. Wow. Today is sunday. The first day of the week. And if your that desperate to abide the ten commandments, remember:

    1. Starting a fire is an act of work. Since using any electrictity at all is considered starting a fire, the Priests and Rabbis have decided that you can't use electricity on saturdays.

    2. For the same reason, no cars. Hope you have a bicycle.

  11. Its the 4th commandment, that God tells us to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. The Sabbath is Saturday so today begins your work week. If you would like to learn more about the Sabbath please email me.

  12. The Fourth Commandment says:[8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. The seventh day is the same as the calendar. The last day of the week.

Basically what you have here is a commandment from God telling you to work six days of the week. But He also wants you to 'remember' the day of rest as a special day.

  13. jesus was asked this question in the book of matthew, he answered by asking , "if your sheep fell in a hole on the sabeth, would you not help it out?" he said doing whats right is allowed on the sabeth, for it is a holy day...

  14. unless your oxen is in a ditch nothing to do with your homework so get busy and get it done.

  15. it said remember the sabbeth day and keep it holy that doesn't mean not work

  16. Do you even know the definition of "work"? Do you really know which day is the 7th day? I say that you just do your homework and if it really bothers you, you should speak to your priest or pastor...

  17. Well, today is your lucky day since it's the FIRST day of the week! (look at a calendar!)

  18. You should have done your homework on the sixth day

If a house is on fire its ok to put it out

Do your homework and stop using God to be lazy.

Dont take the lords name in vain by using him to watch cartoons.

Honor thy mother and father and get good grades.

God Loves Ditch diggers too but you might want to be more then that in life kid.

  19. If you're going to take that commandment seriously, here are a few more restrictions that the Jews understand:

    1.  No fires, either starting them or stopping them

... a.  This would include the miniscule "fire" created by an electric spark in a light switch when turned on or off.

... b.  This would include the "fire" created by the spark plugs of your car.

... c.  This would obviously include no cooking.

    2.  No tearing paper.

... a.  This would include, but is not limited to, tearing toilet paper.

    3.  No writing.

    4.  No financial exchanges

... a.  This would include going out to a restaurant to eat.

Should I continue?  Or are you getting the idea yet?

But if you keep THIS Law, both Moses and Paul said that you are obligated to keep ALL the Law (613 commandments), including the dietary laws, such as not eating any meat products with any milk products - EVER - on ANY day of the week, not just Sabbath (Saturday, not Sunday), along with numerous other dietary laws.

The Jews are commanded by God that they can not cut the corners of their beards.

The Sabbath Law says we are to work 6 days, not 5 days.

There are many other Laws, as well.

Paul said that if you break even the smallest Lord, you're guilty of ALL, and that if you LIVE by Law, you'll be JUDGED by Law.

Now YOU decide if you want to live under the Jewish Law or not.

Now, GO  DO  YOUR  HOMEWORK, and quit making excuses!

  20. Your pastor is right, but as someone said earlier, if your ox is in the mire, you need to do your homework. Plan earlier to do your homework on Saturday and not on Sunday. The point is to not make it a habit to work on the Sabbath when Saturday is a day to prepare for Sunday.

  21. Saturday is the seventh day, and since you're on the computer, you're working anyway.

Christians don't abide by the Sabbath, because Jesus of Nazareth did not.

    Peace.
