  1. I have never really used one ohm now i understand that the lower the ohm the harder the sub will hit but  two ohms has usally been enough to rattle everything apart

I wouldn't worry about ohms so much as watts and types of subs

  2. Wow, don't listen to that last guy!!  Here are a couple options.  These are both for dual voice coil subs.

For 1 sub: Hook positive from amp to positive from 1st voice coil and link to positive on 2nd voice coil.  Take negative do the same to the negative terminals.  Subs will be at 2 ohms

For 2 subs: Hook positive from amp to positive on 1st voice coil of both subs and link positive to the 2nd voice coil off the 1st on both subs.  Same with the negative on the negative posts.  Subs will be at 4 ohms

  3. there are a lot of options to choose from in a single or 2 sub configuration. dual 2 or 4 ohm voice coils for each or you could go single voice coil if you want.

and the wiring options are a lot as well.

what amp are you going to use and how much power are we talking about?

you could run a single 2 ohm dvc sub in parallel to get a 1 ohm load or you could get two 4 ohm dvc subs, wire them in parallel, to gat a 1 ohm load.

it really depends on your application but since 1 ohm is what you're looking for then the above configuration would work best for you.
