I've heard some people and websites say that you NEED to get two gliders, and others say that a single glider will do just fine. Which is it?

  1. Gliders in the wild live in colonies of up to 30 other gliders, and while it is acceptable to own just one, they will require more commitment and time from you if you do not offer them a buddy. You may find these sites helpful...

  2. Well 2 is always the better option. Even if you can do things to make 1 content it would be nicer if you were to get 2 they wouldn't be lonely and they could have someone that understood them becuase you def. can't.

read this link.. its easy too read

1 is fine if you are willing to carry it around with you for most of the day.

  4. It can truly depend on the glider you get... Gliders are by nature a social animal and thrive on interaction with each other. Their social nature also helps them bond to us - but a glider that is happy and bonded to a human will be 100x happier being bonded to a human and a glider friend. It doesn't make them harder to bond with (personal experience, it makes it EASIER) or cost more to have two.

To put it simply, yes, most gliders can survive as a single glider and be relatively happy with enough human attention - BUT - it's a more fulfilling life for them to have a friend...

    Hope that helps!
