One.org??then what?

i have signed in to one organization online,i just want to know how can i fight poverty just by participating via the net and not getting into the field ?

You can fight poverty without getting your hands dirty.  I would not send money to someone who has a web site.  You can donate to the Red Cross.  You can volunteer to do work for the Salvation Army: answer telephones, work in a mail room.

You can do a million things to fight poverty. Here is a sample:

- Write articles or letters to the editor to raise consciousness

- Help to raise funds for worthy organizations

- Donate money or goods to charities that fight poverty

- Volunteer your time or talents to an organization that works to fight poverty

- Volunteer to help those in need by assisting at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, church projects, women's shelters, Boys and Girls Clubs

- Volunteer to be a mentor, role model, or tutor to disadvantaged kids via your local library, city volunteer program, or Big Brothers Big Sisters

- Volunteer virtually via Idealist.org

- Sign petitions, write petitions, lobby for causes you support

Work for peace and social justice, which are intrinsically tied to poverty.
