  1. c. The fruits of his or her labor.

There's no point in being guaranteed a job if you aren't assured the right to the money you worked for.

There's no point in letting people have freedom if they aren't going to bear the consequences (both good and bad) of their actions.

As a side note, the first argument I made implies that the purpose of a good government implies a legal system that enforces contracts. The second requires a police force, national military defense, and, possibly, an extradition process.

  2. d. A gun to keep the citizen happy even though he/she doesn't have a, b, or c.

  3. Responsible stewardship or the nations treasures.  Careful expenditure of our hard earned Tax money.  Stewardship of our nation's natural wonders.  Care of our air and water supply. Concern for the good health of all citizens.  Overseeing a functional Road Rail and water transportation system.  Maintenance of the nation's critical infrastructure.

  4. **** you a*****e

  5. I'm not aware of any government that assures any of the above.  (a) would be nice. (b) would be dangerous.  As for (c), the fruits of most workers' labors go to the ones who own the orchards.
