  1. I don't think we get DNA from fossils. The structure of DNA has long since broken down. We can date it will other means though and visual and scientific analysis tells a lot.

  2. Fossils are usually mineralised and contain no dna.

However partially fossilised bones are also found.

Even dinosaur bones have been found with red blood cells.

(Showing that they are not 65 millions years old!)

Best question to ask about evolution is 'why do people still believe it?' when it is easily refuted and does not explain the observed evidence.

  3. We can't get DNA from fossils.  Molecular anthropologists compare the DNA (specifically mitochondrial DNA, which is inherited only through the mother) of living humans to map out evolutionary trees.  Since mitochondrial DNA does not recombine and since mutations occur at a regular rate, researchers can study the differences between diverse groups of people, as well as differences between humans and our closest known relatives, to discover how long ago we shared a common ancestor.

  4. Sometimes through the teeth.  But most fossils do not contain DNA because of the fossilization process of turning bone into stone.
