One way from Alice Springs to Cairns?

I need to get from Alice Springs to Cairns on 18/19th June. Can anyone recommend any cheap airlines/bus companies/rail travel (or spaceships perhaps!) that travel this route as direct and cheap as possible? So far the cheapest & quickest I can find is flying with quantas for about 365 ASD.

Can anyone recommend any companies? I don't want a tour or anything just a way from A-B, one way. thanks

Try the airlines.

Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Tiger may do that route check out their websites

Qantas is not cheap.

Check with Wikepedia to see what other airlines service Alice Springs.

As for buses there is little competition for that route.

Try hitching or pre arranging a lift with someone.

Qantas is the only airline that flys from Alice to Cairns, so no point looking around at others. (am sure you would have found that out anyhow)

There is also no train (direct) from Alice to Cairns, again a pain in the butt.
