We are throwing a birthday party for my son who is 1.

Figuring that most people we invted werent going to show we werent planning on a bunch of people. (long story)But turns out that most people are coming. Everyone has one more day to rsvp and so far we have around 65 people coming including children.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the kids can do durring this party? I dont want to do water activities because its too late to request to bring extra clothes and I dont want any kids left out. So dry clean fun ideas would be great.

Also I have the food planned but if anyone has any cool inexpensive food ideas that would be awesome too!

  1. Get a big box cut a hole in it and paint or put a picture of a clown around the hole and let the kids try to throw bean bags or foam balls through the hole.

  2. Rabbits and 'Roos

Ask your toddler to hop up and down just like a rabbit (try it yourself, too!). Then, have her hop like a kangaroo, and gallop like a horse. Add other animals, too, and bring in props to encourage her to use her imagination, like bunny-ear headbands, or a stick horse.

  3. When my son turned one, we had a big party. We just fed them pizza and soda and then had fun watching him open one present and then not wanting to open anymore, but play with the first one opened. So, be prepared for that. You could have the other children help open gifts for him and let them each have a candle on a cupcake so they can make a wish for him. The beanbag throw is always fun, maybe a fish pond with small favors. Good luck, and just be prepared to go with the flow that your son wants. He may be overwhelmed with all the company and just want some alone time with you, ours did.
