  1. Oh I have the same problem when I get my picture taken with my Marine husband. Their uniforms  just stand out so much its hard to stand out.

I always like to go for sort of a vintage forties vibe. I would wear a pretty black dress, maybe a black dress with white polka dots. And then some cute red pumps, and my cute cat classes. Or maybe a cute slinky navy dress, with navy ad white saddle pumps.

Good luck. A picture is a nice idea.

  2. A black silky dress

  3. I think a classy strapless dress of red of white would go very nicely with his uniform.

For our 1st anniversary, I gave my husband a poem in a bottle.

    Congrats!

  4. A picture is an great idea. I would suggest wearing matching button up shirts. He does not have to wear a tie or anything but maybe an undershirt peeking out. It would of course be buttoned up to the second or third hole your choice. And then nice slacks for him and a matching flowy skirt for you, after all you want to show your female side. My fiancee, who is in the Air Force, and I get our pictures taken every year (which has been three now). This last year we wore blue button up dress shirts and black slacks. It was great and very nice. I always try to remember that we maybe in the military through our significant others but that does not mean we have to dress like men :). Keep it classy and clean. Congratulations on the first anniversary!

  5. I think you should wear as stylishly cut, buy simple dress. Something in a navy or a black, with a sort of 1950s Dior inspired high, scooped neckline. Something fitted, but not clingy, in a good stiff material. And then some pretty court shoes. Classic jewellery, classic soft hair and makeup.

  6. Go for casual but not sloppy. BUD's Slacks and a blouse in your favorite color. No Bud's: You still wear slacks and sweater and have him match you. ie;Dockers and a nice shirt with  a collar.

    Happy Anniversary!!!!!
