Oneco Black favourite for Ladbrokes Summer Festival Dogs 480 - Heat 1
Oneco Black has got a solid chance of claiming the Ladbrokes Summer Festival Dogs 480 - Heat 1 at Monmore in England on Monday, June 18, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will walk away with a cash prize of £175.
The distance to cover for all participants will be 480 metres and the action will begin at 15:48 GMT. A total of six quality hounds have been attracted towards the race and their names are as follows: Droopys Lorenzo, Penrhiw Guto, Oneco Black, Whitefort
Mac, Wally Billy and White Coat.
Looking at the record of all participants, it appears that the competition will be a tough one. However, Oneco Black has got a lot of experience and his performances in recent times have been impressive, which makes him a top contender for victory. He will
definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters today.
The J. Bateson’s trainee has been taking part in a lot of trial runs recently and he has been impressive in them. Other than that, his form in this class has also been good, which will boost the confidence of his supporters at Monmore.
Out of his previous three Grade OR outings, Oneco Black has managed to win once whereas his performances in other races have also been good. He delivers decent results with consistency, thus it will be difficult to match him at Monmore today.
In his most recent run in this class, the black dog finished on top of the table by just a short head distance. He was given the best odds back then and was expected to dominate proceedings.
Although Oneco Black did not get off to an ideal start, he managed to recover towards the end and took the lead right before crossing the finish line. A clear run will definitely put him on top of the table today. He is the son of Hondo Black out of Longvalley
Patch and was born in April 2008.
On the other hand, the bookies have more confidence in the abilities of Droopys Lorenzo, who is a decent performer. However, the bettors might not risk a lot of money on him, as his performances in recent times have been unimpressive.
