Oneco Talent to strike a hat trick in the Betfred Maiden Standard Trophy at Nottingham on 2nd April
The Betfred Maiden Standard Trophy is to be held at Nottingham over 500 metres flat on Monday, 2nd April. The line-up for the £150 events includes Lacken Heights, Express Champ, Brownlow Warrior, Hather George, Due Haste and Oneco Talent.
The most promising entry for the race is Oneco Talent, Rumble Impact’s two-year-old black son out of b***h Culleen Sally. He started racing just this season and has bagged two races out of the four ventures that he undertook.
Oneco Talent broke into the season with scoring second in a 275 metres race on 2nd March. Magical Mitch was the winner of the race who successfully completed the trip in 16.69 seconds and led the runner up by ¾ of a length.
Even the second start of the season did not offer what Oneco Talent was looking for as once more he could only finish the race second. On 9th March, Oneco Talent was the runner up in a 480 metres race at Hall Green. Rock It rumble was the winner of the race as she concluded the race in 29.06 seconds with just half a length under her belt.
The third start of the season proved to be far more successful as Oneco Talent finally posted a victory.
He reached the other end of the wire in the 480 metres race in 28.76 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Maylin Lad, by 2 ¼ lengths.
He did not wait long for striking another race and bagged the next opportunity that presented itself on 24th March.
Oneco Talent won a 480 metres race at Hall Green by covering the track distance in 28.58 seconds. Missing the victory by 4 ¼ lengths and thus qualifying as the runner up was Ballymac Hi.
The lightly raced two-year-old has the chance of getting entitled for a hat trick today by attaching the third string of victory to the pair that already stands proudly on the record.
There are two more entries on the lineup who have recorded victories recently and thus Oneco Talent needs to look out for them while racing.
Lacken Heights and Due Haste can turn out to be potential threats.
