Onkyo receiver is tripping off with digital audio cables, but not with Analog trips at V 25, thoughts?

Is it one specific cable or several different digital (I assume you mean coax?) cables? If the former you may have a bum cable (maybe a short). If the latter it may be something to do with that particular digital input on the receiver. Try another input port and see if it still cuts off. If not, it's the first port. If so ... it could still be the cable or ... you have some type of general problem. My guess is one of the first tests will work.

Other than that I think you have a problem for a technician. You can either ignore the problem (use optical), or take to a repair shop.
