Onkyo receiver repair?

I have a older but very nice onkyo receiver. Everything works fine except for the fm/am radio. There is no sound when fm is on. what seems to be the problem?

  1. you could have "digital FM muting" built in.  try switching it to a different station where you know there is a good signal.


  2. One of two things is killing your FM....it could be the electronic switch IC that is killing the FM input to it, or it could be the FM demodulator IC that converts FM signals to audio signals....

    My experience has been the FM demodulator is faulty....
